News – NBC Chicago
Chicago Bears safety Coby Bryant's injury during a practice may cost him more time than first thought.
Head Coach Ben Johnson told reporters Tuesday that Bryant required knee surgery and is estimated to miss anywhere from four to six months.
He had surgery on Friday and looks like he's going to be more of a four to six-month timeline.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter initially reported the team expected Bryant to miss eight to 10 weeks after suffering multiple injuries in his knee.
Bryant was a key component of the Seattle Seahawks’ defense last season as the team earned a Super Bowl championship.
