IndyFringe Festival celebrates 21 years with record artist participation and new family programmingINDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The IndyFringe Festival is marking a major milestone this year, celebrating 21 years of bringing diverse artistic performances to the Mass Ave Cultural Arts District. The festival ranks as the fourth most attended fringe festival in the country and sits in the top five nationally and top 15 worldwide for the number of artists served. “We actually, for the first time, had to say no to more artists than yes, because so many artists applied this year,” said Callie Burk-Hartz, IndyFringe Festival Director. “The Indianapolis Fringe Festival is actually one of the largest in the nation.” “That’s a free event where families can come and see if maybe your kid would be interested in theater,” Burk-Hartz said.
