A 50-year-old man has been charged in connection with four alleged unprovoked assaults that occurred within the span of 30 minutes in downtown Vancouver on Saturday. Shortly after 2:40 p.m., the suspect entered a business on Homer and Dunsmuir Street and allegedly began demanding money from workers and customers. The man allegedly threw an object, which struck two employees, causing minor injuries. Immediately following this incident, investigators believe the same man approached a person walking on Beatty Street and asked for money. When the victim declined, the suspect allegedly punched him in the face before fleeing the area.
