VANCOUVER Police announced on Tuesday that they have identified and charged a suspect in connection with the assault of a 73-year-old man in Kitsilano after they issued a media release on Monday. The two men became involved in a verbal altercation, during which the suspect allegedly pushed the victim to the ground. The victim suffered head injuries as a result of the assaultOn Monday afternoon, police received multiple tips from members of the public reporting sightings of a man matching the description of the suspect near West 4th Avenue and Vine Street. “We want to thank the public for all the tips we received in relation to this assault,” says Constable Megan Lui. Paul Henry Desroches, 53, has been charged with one count of assault causing bodily harm.
