A south Minneapolis restaurant is asking for help to keep its staff paid after a fire last month forced it to close. While still closed until further notice, Jakeeno’s Pizza and Pasta, located on Chicago Avenue, has a fundraiser to help replace lost income for workers. Organizers said the money would go to wages and tips for restaurant owners Patty and Amy Keegan, as well as the Jakeeno’s team. According to the fundraiser, the restaurant has been a staple in the Powderhorn neighborhood for 50 years.
