As a woman and small business owner myself, I have come to respect what it takes to balance both – no matter where your roots are. –For those of you who read my other column, The Food Detective, you know I have a true, true love of ice cream and will always go out of my way to find new ice cream spots. I asked her immediately if she would be open to an interview about her shop and ice cream. I love the Ice Cream business; it allows me to be creative, as well as challenges me to think outside of the box. What advice would you give to aspiring female entrepreneurs who are considering starting a small business in rural Maine?
