It will include carriageway resurfacing from Admiralty junction roundabout to Chapel Place roundabout, as well as improvements along the route. A signed diversion will be in place via Admiralty Road, Kings Road, Queensferry Road, Carnegie Avenue, Lapwing Drive, Aberdour Road, the B981 and North Road. Inverkeithing and Dalgety Bay councillor Patrick Browne said he had been waiting for confirmation of when the planned works would begin. He said: “Works will be overnight so disruption to road vehicles will be limited, but works also include upgrading the active travel route/path so some disruption is inevitable.” The council has warned that temporary speed restrictions could also be introduced where drivers are required to use temporary road surfaces.
