Public ownership does not give power to the people. It is a demand to replace private ownership of America’s largest companies with government ownership. Private property gives people a reason to create, invest, innovate, and serve customers. Every industry placed under public ownership gives government officials more authority to decide how resources are used, which services are available, and who receives them.
