I-95 North ramp set to close permanently in late August

The ramp from Bridge Street to northbound I-95 will close for good on the night of Friday, Aug. 21.
This ramp closure is a part of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation's (PennDOT) $267.9 million I-95 Section BS2 project.
WATCH HERE WATCH HEREThe BS2 project will reconstruct and widen I-95 from Margaret to Van Kirk streets in Northeast Philadelphia.
Beginning 8 p.m. on Aug. 21, 2026, the ramp will close ahead of the start of construction of a new on-ramp to northbound I-95 from Tacony Street and the Delaware Avenue extension.
While the ramp is closed, drivers will be redirected to Tacony Street and State Road/New State Road to enter the northbound I-95 on-ramp at Milnor Street in Northeast Philadelphia.
