A woman who fled to Belize after abandoning over 100 animals at a Bucks County farm, leaving them to starve and allowing several to die, has pleaded guilty to multiple charges of animal cruelty. Abigail Tuttle O’Keeffe, 55, the former owner of Narrow Way Farm on Worthington Mill Road in Newtown, pleaded guilty last month to charges including neglect of animals involving veterinary care, neglect of animals involving sustenance or water, neglect of animals involving shelter or protection and other related offenses. The Bucks County SPCA is stepping in to help more than 100 farm animals found living in filthy conditions. The Bucks County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals described the case as the largest involving farm animal cruelty in county history. She was later returned to the United States and turned over to authorities in Bucks County.
