A Minnesota company is closing a facility it’s operated in Winnebago County for 39 years and offering its 23 employees transfers to a plant in the Minneapolis area. The Lund Food Holdings facility in Lake Mills will close in October. Lake Mills Mayor Bruce Helgeson met with representatives of the company. Helgeson had hoped to convince the company to keep the plant in Lake Mills operating. Employees were notified last week, and the food production facility is scheduled to close on October 9th.
