Otoboke Beaver have issued an apology after guitarist Yoyoyoshie threw her axe into the crowd during a show in Osaka, striking a fan who required seven stitches. According to a statement shared by Otoboke Beaver on Tuesday, August 11th, Yoyoyoshie’s guitar hit an audience member, who was subsequently taken to the hospital with injuries that included a laceration to the forehead and a sprain. “We accept the incident seriously and deeply apologize,” the band’s translated statement reads. Otoboke Beaver added that the injured fan had been subjected to additional “burden and heartache” because of the delay in their response. See the band’s statement below.
