THE Nigeria Police Force has confirmed the death of 10 of its personnel during an encounter with a heavily-armed group of suspected bandits. Iniedu said: “At about 9:25am on Monday, police operatives intercepted and engaged the suspected bandits moving between Zamfara and Kebbi states. “At least 17 suspected bandits were neutralised, while four motorcycles belonging to the attackers were destroyed. Iniedu explained that the remains of the fallen officers had been conveyed to Birnin Kebbi, while the area had been brought under control. The IGP insisted that the Nigeria Police Force remained deeply mindful of the pain and loss suffered by the families of the fallen officers.
