The New Hanover Child Support Agency announced Tuesday that the Child Support Amnesty Days originally planned for Aug. 13-15 will no longer take place as scheduled. “The New Hanover Child Support Agency apologizes for any inconveniences this may cause and hope to reschedule this event in the near future,” the agency said in a statement. Under the original plan, eligible parents could have an order for arrest recalled by making one month’s child support payment or paying $300, whichever amount was greater. No new date for the amnesty event has been announced.
