An arbitral award may not be interfered with if the view taken by the arbitrator is a possible view based on facts.
Form and contents of arbitral award.—(1)-(2) * * *(3) The arbitral award shall state the reasons upon which it is based, unless—(a) the parties have agreed that no reasons are to be given, or(b) the award is an arbitral award on agreed terms under Section 30”] states that the arbitral award shall state the reasons on which it is based, unless the parties have agreed that no reasons are to be given.
The limited supervisory role of courts while reviewing an arbitral award is stipulated in Section 34 of the Act, beyond whose grounds courts cannot intervene and cannot correct errors in the arbitral award.
An Arbitral Award, which is placed on record of another arbitral proceedings, can be a highly important piece of evidence.
