Winchester Wildlife director Deb Gode discussed wildlife rescue, rehabilitation and the center's need for donations and volunteers on WKBK Radio. As young animals mature and begin hunting with adults, they generally become more wary of people. Running a wildlife rehabilitation center is emotionally demanding as well as physically intensive. “You’re really the hero,” she said, referring to members of the public who take the time to help injured wildlife.
