Westbound M4 to shut overnight near major South Wales crossing
['Sallie Phillips']
South Wales Argus | News
According to the Severn Bridges traffic account, the westbound carriageway at Junction 22 will be closed between the exit and entry slip roads from 8pm on Tuesday, August 11, until 6am on Wednesday morning.
The closure affects traffic approaching the Prince of Wales Bridge, one of the main routes between England and South Wales, and motorists are being advised to plan ahead and allow extra time for their journeys.
National Highways regularly schedules overnight closures on the motorway network to allow for maintenance, inspections and other works to take place when traffic levels are lower.
Further details of planned road closures across the network are available through National Highways.
The Prince of Wales Bridge, formerly known as the Second Severn Crossing, carries thousands of vehicles between South Wales and the south west of England every day.
