A pigmy goat from West Clare has been chosen to represent the Banner County in the 2026 Nose of Tralee. Baaaarney McKenna from Killimer has been selected as one of the final 32 pets in the Nose of Tralee competition, the pet version of the iconic rose competition. A nose winner will be decided later this month by a combination of public voting and judging. The cute goat is the second member of his family to represent Clare in the Nose of Tralee. Baaaarney’s online profile says: “Following in the hoofprints of his little brother, Baaaanjo, who proudly represented Clare in 2025, Baaaarney would be absolutely honoured to wear the Clare sash and be crowned the 2026 Nose of Tralee.
