The Nigeria Police Force has announced plans to develop a comprehensive security roadmap for the 2027 general elections at its forthcoming Conference and Retreat for Senior Police Officers. According to him, discussions at the conference would focus on intelligence-led policing, police-community partnerships, digital technologies and artificial intelligence, among other contemporary approaches to strengthening police operations. He said the deliberations would cover security measures required before, during and after the 2027 elections. “Deliberations will focus on Intelligence-led Policing, Police-Community Partnerships, digital technologies, Artificial Intelligence, and other contemporary approaches to strengthening police operations before, during, and after elections,” Iniedu said. Iniedu said the initiative was part of the police leadership’s broader commitment to institutional reform, professional development and operational preparedness ahead of the 2027 elections.
