The multi-day manhunt for a McMinn County shooting suspect came to a peaceful end Tuesday morning when the fugitive turned himself in to local authorities. Kobe Jackson, who had been sought by the McMinn County Sheriff’s Office following a Friday shooting on County Road 435, surrendered to officers at 11:30 a.m. at a relative’s home in Etowah. Bautsch knows Jackson from his time as school resource officer. That relationship was critical in working out this surrender,” Sheriff Guy stated. Sheriff Guy confirmed that the investigation remains active and ongoing as authorities continue to piece together the events surrounding Friday’s shooting.
