Odesa Regional Military Administration head Oleh Kiper said the tanker was carrying oil residue when it was hit in the Russian attack, RBC Ukraine reported. The latest attack adds to a recent series of Russian strikes targeting Odesa and surrounding areas. Following a Russian attack on Aug. 9, traffic was temporarily restricted on part of the Odesa-Reni highway, affecting access to some border crossings with Moldova and routes toward Odesa. An earlier attack on Odesa on the same day also damaged a bus carrying 12 children.
