Bechtel has taken over management of the site designated for Poland's first nuclear power plant, as the project shifts from design and planning to large-scale site preparation and construction. Bechtel will now oversee construction operations, coordinate contractors, supervise activity on site and ensure safety standards throughout the project. Polish construction firm Budimex has been selected to undertake the site preparation works, expanding opportunities for local firms. The facility brings together Bechtel's global nuclear expertise with local Polish talent for the planned AP1000 nuclear power station.
