On the season as a whole, Lewis is hitting .239 with a .313 on-base percentage and a .739 OPS. Eventually, things deteriorated to the point where the Twins optioned Lewis to Triple-A. It’s also why his recent surge is particularly meaningful for a Twins team that remains firmly within striking distance of the postseason.
