According to Front Office Sports, the streamer won’t produce a second season of SEC Football: Any Given Saturday in time for this fall, though the conference isn’t ruling out a future return. Any future South Carolina commitment would presumably need sign-off from Shane Beamer’s wife, Emily, who learned that opening your kitchen to the internet can be almost as dangerous as opening your football program to Netflix. It’s more about the commitment required to let a production crew spend an entire season poking around your football program. Whether the SEC’s version resumes later this fall, gets reworked into something else, or quietly fades the way plenty of one-season sports docuseries have before it, is a decision the conference clearly isn’t in any hurry to make.
