There is a new development in the legal fight over a data center in Lowell, Massachusetts. A judge is temporarily blocking Markley Group from installing four additional diesel generators at its data center at the site of the old Prince Spaghetti factory. WATCH HERE WATCH HERENeighbors have been pushing back on the expansion, citing concerns about air quality and noise pollution coming from the existing generators. A judge found that Lowell residents may have been denied a meaningful opportunity to challenge the project during the state permitting process. The ruling does not overturn Markley’s air permit originally approved by Mass DEP and it also doesn’t stop the data center expansion completely.
