Belleville council has inked a deal to recruit yet another new family doctor, this time for the Belleville and Quinte West Community Health Centre. Starting in September, Dr. Uyi Namuna will work full-time at the centre’s Belleville clinic, the city announced Monday after council approved the recruitment. His work at the local centre will see him tending to some of the city’s most vulnerable residents. “I’m delighted to be joining the Belleville community as a family physician,” Namuna said in a city news release. Uyi Namuna and his family are in the process of moving to Belleville and I know our community will embrace them with open arms,” Mayor Neil Ellis said in the release.
