The movie, which follows a family as their house becomes sealed by unexplained forces, tallied 27.5 million views from its Aug. 7 release through Sunday, Aug. 9, making it to the No.
1 spot on Netflix’s most-watched movies list for the week of Aug. 3.
“The Last House” stands as the fifth most-watched Netflix film debut of the year, joining fellow Chernin Entertainment-produced movie, “Apex,” which debuted at No.
1 in April with 38.2 million views, and also stands within the streamer’s top five film debuts.
