“We condole with the families and pray that God gives them courage during these difficult times.
We pray for the injured and wish them quick recovery,” read a statement sent to CISA and signed by Bishop Philip Anyolo, Chairman KCCB.
The bishops urged the different government agencies responsible for road transport and human safety to ensure that proper signage is put on roads and called upon a deep rethinking of the erection of road bumps in different highways across the Country noting that such bumps are always removed after an accident.
“We also urge all road users to be extra careful this festive season and urge Government agencies responsible for road safety to renew their commitment to saving lives and not to see an opportunity to make quick money through bribery and extortion,” read the statement.
“We pray for the repose of the departed souls with hope that the Lord will grant their families with much needed peace at this moment of grief,” said the bishops.
