Tiverton Town Council is staging the event at Westexe Recreation Ground, with vocalist Tamsin Ball and Tiverton Town Band among those performing. Proms in the Park will take place from 2pm to 5pm on Sunday, August 16, with entry free and no booking required. The event follows an initiative from Tiverton Town Council's Events and Amenities Committee, which aimed to bring people together for an accessible summer afternoon. Tamsin Ball will open the musical programme at 2pm before Tiverton Town Band takes to the stage with a selection of classic proms favourites and popular concert pieces. A council spokesperson said: "The Events and Amenities Committee wanted to create a vibrant, free event that celebrates our community spirit.
