BENNINGTON, Vt. (WNYT)- An arrest warrant has been issued for a man being treated at Albany Medical Center after he was charged with attempted murder in Bennington, according to police. The driver was taken to Southwestern Vermont Medical Center and later transferred to Albany Medical Center with life-threatening injuries, police say. The two other occupants were taken to Southwestern Vermont Medical Center with serious but non-life-threatening injuries and were later also transferred to Albany Medical Center. Police said Saupin was detained at the scene, taken to Southwestern Vermont Medical Center and later transferred to Albany Medical Center. Police said investigators worked with the Bennington County State’s Attorney’s office to secure an arrest warrant for Saupin through Vermont Superior Court-Bennington Criminal Division.
