KARACHI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Aug, 2026) The Clifton Defence Community organised an Independence Day ceremony with SSP South Mahzor Ali as the chief guest on Tuesday, which was attended by students, representatives of civil society and people from various walks of life. Students presented national songs, speeches and other performances highlighting the significance of Independence Day, which were warmly appreciated by the participants. Addressing the ceremony, SSP South Mahzor Ali spoke about the importance of freedom, the objectives behind the creation of Pakistan and the role of the younger generation in the country's development. At the conclusion of the ceremony, Mahzor Ali distributed shields among students who demonstrated outstanding performance. The Clifton Defence Community also presented a special shield to the SSP South in recognition of his participation as chief guest.
