Visit Greater Palm Springs (VGPS) launched a new customer advisory board and working advisory program developed in partnership with PCMA. Designed to be an open space for exchanging ideas, challenging assumptions and helping to shape the future of meetings in Greater Palm Springs, the board aims to create opportunities for professionals at different stages of their careers through authentic conversations, meaningful relationships and mutual learning. The inaugural year includes virtual sessions in the summer and fall that will be followed by the program’s first in-person meeting in Greater Palm Springs. Pace has been asked what she and Visit Greater Palm Springs is expecting to hear customer advisory board members talk about or what the DMO is hoping to learn, and the truth is: “We’re not really expecting anything,” Pace said. The goal is to take that pressure off and create a space where Visit Greater Palm Springs and board members can hear right from other members and their firsthand experiences.
