North Carolina is celebrating a Little League championship after Johnston County Little League captured the 2026 Little League Softball World Series title Sunday in Greenville. Representing Johnston County Little League out of Clayton, North Carolina, the team defeated Kentucky 2-0 in the championship game at Stallings Stadium. Less than 24 hours later, she was back in the circle for the championship game, throwing 93 pitches and delivering another shutout. While both teams had strong pitching, defense played a major role throughout the championship game. North Carolina right fielder Abbey Robinson made two impressive inning-ending catches that stopped Kentucky rallies in the first and fourth innings.
