BERNALILLO COUNTY, N.M. — The Bernalillo County Clerk’s Office is encouraging community members to apply to serve as poll workers for the 2026 general election. According to the Clerk’s Office, the office hires nearly 1,000 poll workers to assist voters, answer questions and help polling places run smoothly throughout the election. The county will pay poll workers and train them. “Poll workers are the backbone of every successful election,” Bernalillo County Clerk Michelle Kavanaugh said. “We’re looking for dedicated community members to join our election team and help ensure every voter has a smooth and positive voting experience.”
