A Philadelphia man will spend over a decade in prison for robbing or trying to rob armored trucks on multiple occasions. On Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2026, Dante Shackleford, 27, of Philadelphia, was sentenced to 11 ½ years in prison, five years of supervised release and $119,100 in restitution. After being indicted in January 2026, Shackleford pleaded guilty in April to Hobbs Act robbery, attempted Hobbs Act robbery, and carrying, using and brandishing a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence. Shackleford’s co-defendant, Mujahid Davis, 24, of Philadelphia, pleaded guilty in March 2026 to attempted Hobbs Act robberies, two Hobbs Act robberies, carrying, and carrying, using and brandishing a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence. Davis was sentenced earlier in August to 11 years in prison.
