It’s the end of an era: For the first time in over 15 years, 7Up is changing its recipe. They’re tweaking the formula to be more LIME forward and they’re doing it across the full lineup, including Zero Sugar, Cherry 7Up, and Cherry Zero Sugar. They say 72% of Gen Alpha and Gen Z consumers gravitate toward citrus-forward flavors and 64% prefer bold, intense taste experiences. One social media influencer who got an early can tasted the new and old recipes side-by-side, and says it’s a VERY subtle change. She added that there’s SLIGHTLY more lime zest flavor, and it seems SLIGHTLY less sweet…but it’s barely noticeable.
