On Tuesday, August 11 ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that the Minnesota Vikings have named Kyler Murray the teams starting quarterback for Week 1.
Murray was signed by Minnesota during the offseason to a one year veteran minimum deal with the opportunity to compete for the starting QB job.
1 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, spent the first seven seasons of his NFL career with the Arizona Cardinals.
Since entering the NFL, he was named the 2019 Offensive Rookie of the Year and has been named to two Pro Bowls.
Minnesota currently has three QB’s vying for the backup role behind Murray in JJ McCarthy, Carson Wentz, and Max Brosmer.
