Columbia’s main campus in Morningside Heights is rather cozy, especially for a university of over 30,000 students. Morningside, between Broadway and Amsterdam on 116th street, is Columbia’s main campus. The Science and Engineering buildings line the very back of this upper part of campus. Around the gated Morningside Campus lie various graduate schools, such as Union Theological Seminar and Teacher’s College, where Columbia College freshmen will take Frontiers of Science. There are weird tunnels and backways in some campus buildings.
