Dive Brief:A subsidiary of Ashford Hospitality Trust has sold the Hyatt Regency Long Island in Hauppauge, New York, for $26.5 million in cash, according to an Aug. 6 filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Previously, the property served as a Wyndham hotel before rebranding as the Hyatt Regency Wind Watch, according to a 2005 news release from Hyatt. In the first quarter of this year, Dallas-based Ashford sold five hotels, which netted combined gross proceeds of $238.5 million. The Long Island property is one of the six hotels that Ashford agreed to sell for a combined $156.4 million, according to a Q1 earnings report from May. Ashford did not host an earnings call for its first-quarter results and has not yet released its second-quarter earnings results.
