The Port of Vancouver has released its second cruise update for 2026, highlighting Canada Place’s record passenger numbers, its upcoming annual Port Day, and a call to action to help drive water conservation in the port. In its newsletter, the port said that passenger traffic through the Canada Place cruise terminal is reaching record highs. Vancouver said that 40 percent of the 1.4 million passengers expected at Canada Place this cruise season will have moved through the terminal in the span of just two months. The port also recently celebrated a milestone for the authority’s facial biometrics system, which processed its one-millionth cruise passenger two years after launching. According to the newsletter, Vancouver also welcomed three ships making their first-ever calls at Canada Place: Disney Cruise Line’s Disney Magic, Virgin Voyages’ Brilliant Lady and The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection’s Luminara.
