Hyderabad:A motorist escaped unhurt when a drainage pipe from the Shaikpet flyover fell on him on Monday night. Other pipes on the flyover were also found to be in poor condition, with cracks and signs of weakness. The drainage pipe that channels water into the greenery below was clogged with dust and garbage. Following recent rains, water pressure weakened the pipe until it collapsed. They inspected the flyover and assured that replacement works would be taken up on priority.
