Broadway has spent decades teaching people how to make an entrance, so Michael Kors, a lifelong fan of the stage, knew exactly where to look for inspiration. For his brand’s 45th anniversary, the American designer has invited six outstanding performers to star in his latest campaign: Misty Copeland, Sutton Foster, Judith Light, Audra McDonald, Lea Michele and Kara Young, each bringing their own version of that unmistakable ability to command a room. Dutch photography duo Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin shot the Autumn/Winter 2026 campaign in New York, with movement direction from Stephen Galloway and styling by Carlos Nazario. That idea of making an entrance runs through the collection itself, which Kors calls “New York Chic.” Six performers, one very New York wardrobe and enough stage presence make even the Metropolitan Opera House look like it needs to try harder.
