Multiple emergency agencies and teams worked together to save a hiker battling severe dehydration and heat exhaustion on Pinnacle Mountain on Monday, according to a social media post from the Pulaski County Office of Emergency Management. Loading advertisement…“Hot conditions and severe terrain made for a challenging rescue, but we got them off the mountain safely,” said Pinnacle Mountain State Park Ranger Sam Files. “We have a great team and amazing network of rescue professionals and we couldn’t do it without them!” Rescue time took approximately one hour, according to information from the Pulaski County Office of Emergency Management, and crews lifted the hiker from the mountain to an unnamed nearby medical facility for care. Emergency management officials said the hiker is safe and recovering from their injuries.
