The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has declared a total and indefinite strike in two Ondo State universities over the failure of the state government to implement the 2025 Federal Government-ASUU agreement. ‎The affected institutions are Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko (AAUA), and Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology (OAUSTECH), Okitipupa. ‎“The union has just declared an indefinite, total, and comprehensive strike over the non-implementation of the federal government of Nigeria (FGN)/ASUU 2025 agreement,” he said. ‎The ASUU chairman questioned why Ondo State had yet to implement the agreement when several other states had commenced implementation, saying, “Why will our own be different in Ondo State, an oil-producing state?” ‎Similarly, ASUU-OAUSTECH has commenced an indefinite strike over the non-implementation of the 2025 agreement.
