The conference, held here at the Rawalpindi Press Club, followed a Difa-e-Pakistan rally organised in connection with Independence Day celebrations. The rally began at Saidpur Road and proceeded along Murree Road before culminating at the Press Club, with citizens carrying national flags and expressing national solidarity. He stressed that Balochistan remained vital to Pakistan’s future and called for a united national response against terrorism and proxy warfare. Chairman Tehreek-e-Jawanan Pakistan/Kashmir, Abdullah Gul said the August 11 event was aimed at promoting the message of national unity and defence of Pakistan. The speakers also linked national security with economic development, calling for greater opportunities for youth and the business community in Balochistan.
