On the instructions of Mayor Hyderabad Kashif Ali Shoro, the Hyderabad Municipal Corporation has launched a town-wise fumigation campaign across the city, with the aim of preventing dengue, malaria and other germ-borne diseases and ensuring the health of citizenHYDERABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Aug, 2026) On the instructions of Mayor Hyderabad Kashif Ali Shoro, the Hyderabad Municipal Corporation has launched a town-wise fumigation campaign across the city, with the aim of preventing dengue, malaria and other germ-borne diseases and ensuring the health of citizens. The campaign has been launched from August 10, 2026 and as per the schedule, fumigation has been started in different UCs of all towns in two shifts, morning and evening. 86 personnel and 41 fumigation machines have been deployed in each operational cycle of the campaign, while all activities are being carried out by the Sanitation Department of the Hyderabad Municipal Corporation. For the effective completion of the fumigation campaign, teams comprising focal persons, town incharges and field staff from various departments of the municipality have also been formed, who are regularly monitoring the fumigation process in different areas. This initiative is a reflection of the Hyderabad Municipal Corporation’s commitment to protect citizens from dengue, malaria and other harmful mosquito-borne diseases and to make Hyderabad a clean, healthy and safe city.
