Rwanda trained 566 new soldiers of Central African Republic

Kigali: 566 new soldiers formally enrolled into the Central African Armed Forces (FACA) after successfully completing six months of basic military training.
Both training programmes were conducted by instructors from the Rwanda Defence Force (RDF), in collaboration with the FACA.
Prof. Faustin-Archange Touadéra, President of the Central African Republic, and attended by Maj. Gen. Vincent Nyakarundi, the RDF Army Chief of Staff, HE Kayumba Olivier, the Rwandan Ambassador to the Central African Republic, senior government officials and Defence attaches accredited to the Central African Republic.
The Chief of General Staff of the Central African Armed Forces, Gen Zéphirin MAMADOU welcomed the newly trained personnel, saying they would join their fellow soldiers in protecting the country’s territorial integrity.
President Paul Kagame for Rwanda’s military cooperation with the Central African Republic, which he said had produced positive results.
