Clifford Wilby, 63, confronted Labour MP for Walthamstow Stella Creasy on July 15 last year on a Victoria Line service between Walthamstow Central and Finsbury Park, Westminster Magistrates’ Court heard today (August 11).
Wilby blocked Ms Creasy from leaving the carriage, verbally abused her, and began filming the encounter until passengers intervened.
Sarah Madden, prosecuting, told the court that Wilby and Ms Creasy first met during a 2024 Zoom meeting in her capacity as an MP, which was ended because of his abuse.
Wilby saw the MP, blocked her ability to leave the Tube carriage and started talking to her about knife crime and her 'failings as a Member of Parliament'.
Commuters who recognised Ms Creasy intervened, with one man stepping between her and Wilby.
