Bengaluru: Namma Metro recorded its highest-ever single-day ridership on August 10, with 11.19 lakh passengers using the network, marking a significant milestone after the operational metro network expanded to 96.1 km. The Yellow Line, connecting RV Road with Bommasandra over 19 km, has played an important role in expanding Bengaluru’s Metro connectivity. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Yellow Line on August 10, 2025, and passenger services commenced the following day. The addition of the Yellow Line has provided direct Metro connectivity to several important residential, industrial and commercial areas in south Bengaluru. The latest ridership figures come as BMRCL continues to expand the Metro network and improve connectivity across the city.
