There were expectations that the team would go out and get a catcher, including the Yankees potentially getting Adley Rutschman. Since nearly being replaced, Wells has been on a hot streak, and his manager, Aaron Boone, is taking notice. It wasn't getting much results. We've got to keep that going, you know; obviously, we need all hands on deck to continue to move this offense in a better place.
